DESCRIPTION:Join us at the Annie Cooper Boyd House on Saturday May 16th for the Museum’s Annual Meeting followed by the official opening of the Museum for this historic year – the year of the semiquincentennial anniversary (250th) of the Declaration of Independence. \nThroughout the year\, the Museum’s Events\, Programs and Exhibit will all have a revolutionary theme. This year’s exhibit is entitled “The Revolution at Hand: Clothing\, Work and Daily Life in Sag Harbor.” We hope you can join us for this opening and all of the other exciting events we have planned from May to October. \n\n  \n

SUMMARY:Readings of the Declaration of Independence
DESCRIPTION:If you’re passing by the Annie Cooper Boyd House on the afternoon of 4th of July\, you’re likely to see Thomas Jefferson reading the Declaration of Independence on the porch for all to hear. We hope you’ll stop by to hear these words as many did on July 4th\, 1776. The Sag Harbor Community Band will be playing and light refreshments will be available. Help us celebrate this important day and event on our country’s history.
