Dedication of a Patriot’s Headstone

Capt. Lester Beebee was a Minute Man during the Revolutionary War. Last year, with the support of the Robert David Lion Gardiner Foundation, the Beebee Headstones, that were nearly destroyed when the steeple of the Whalers’ Church fell on them during the hurricane of 1938, were restored. However, Lester Beebee’s headstone was so severely damaged, it had to be replaced. Join us in the Old Burying Ground to honor this patriot at the dedication ceremony Sunday May 24th.
