The Museum is a force for preservation:

  • Assisting in the survey of historic buildings and creation of the Sag Harbor village historic district
  • Sponsoring Preservation Forums that bring Village Board Chairs and residents together to understand how to preserve Sag Harbor
  • Placing signs marking historic sites & events in the Village
  • Conducting tours of the Annie Cooper Boyd house and village historic sites.

The Museum has helped to preserve:

  • The Umbrella House
  • The “Broken Mast Monument” in Oakland Cemetery
  • The 1916 Jail on Division Street
  • The 1760 Annie Cooper Boyd House

The Museum has published:

The Museum has catalogued and is digitizing:

  • The complete collection of Annie Cooper Boyd’s paintings & drawings
  • The Museum’s sizable costume collection
  • A collection of tools used by Annie Cooper Boyd’s father building whaleboats
