The Museum is a force for preservation:
- Assisting in the survey of historic buildings and creation of the Sag Harbor village historic district
- Sponsoring Preservation Forums that bring Village Board Chairs and residents together to understand how to preserve Sag Harbor
- Placing signs marking historic sites & events in the Village
- Conducting tours of the Annie Cooper Boyd house and village historic sites.

The Museum has helped to preserve:
- The Umbrella House
- The “Broken Mast Monument” in Oakland Cemetery
- The 1916 Jail on Division Street
- The 1760 Annie Cooper Boyd House
The Museum has published:

The Museum has catalogued and is digitizing:
- The complete collection of Annie Cooper Boyd’s paintings & drawings
- The Museum’s sizable costume collection
- A collection of tools used by Annie Cooper Boyd’s father building whaleboats
The Sag Harbor Historical Museum is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. All donations are fully tax-deductible and will support our mission to preserve and protect the history of Sag Harbor.
