Collections & Research
The Museum’s archival collection includes maps, postcards, letters, diaries, ledgers, oral histories, and house histories. We also have an extensive collection of over 400 garments from a variety of periods.
The Museum is the largest repository of the original art of Annie Cooper Boyd, whose art pre-dates the prolific use of photography and thus is often the only representation of what Sag Harbor and environs looked like at the time. There are nearly 600 original sketches, prints and paintings in this collection. The largest item in the museum’s collection is its headquarters building, known as the Annie Cooper Boyd House – which dates from 1760.
