Partnerships
Christ Church has graciously opened the doors of the church to host the Museum’s various lecture series for the past several years, for which we are very grateful.
We sincerely thank Marder’s for its unwaivering support of the Museum and all of its programs throughout the year including recording our lecture series and beautifully landscaping the Museum’s fundraising events.
SHHM sincerely thanks Nancy’s Tailoring & Alterations for her magic hands and incredible understanding of design. Her tireless support of the museum’s efforts to share the historical costume collections of our region is greatly appreciated; in 2025 highlight of that year’s exhibit was the recreation of Annie Cooper Boyd’s 1895 satin & lace wedding dress.
We extend our sincere thanks to Preservation Long Island for this year co-sponsoring “Revolutionary Days” along with Robert David Lion Gardiner Foundation and the Museum.
Our sincere thanks go out to the Ralph Gibson Studio for creating all of the stunning graphically designed posters that complement the years’ costume exhibits: “Sag Harbor Summers 1882-1907” (2024), “Wedding Dresses, 1840-1925” (2025) and “The Revolution at Hand: Clothing, Work and Daily Life in Sag Harbor” the 2026 exhibit.
The continued and varied support of the Museum by the Robert David Lion Gardiner Foundation of New York helps the museum fulfill its mission to preserve, protect and share Sag Harbor’s history. The Foundation is helping us build an archive structure to protect our most vulnerable collections, is supporting our use of a “Young Scholar” to digitize our letter collection, and is providing funding for part of the Museum’s 250th celebrations. Last year the restoration of the Beebee Family headstones in the Old Burying Ground was made possible by a generous grant from the Foundation.
We are forever grateful to the Sag Harbor Express, its management and staff for their unending and creative support for all that we do.

The Sag Harbor Florist created all of the stunning bouquets for our 2025 exhibit, “Wedding Dresses, 1840-1925” and also supports our annual fundraising events with table arrangements that add to the overall warm and colorful ambiance of the events. Many, many thanks.
We warmly thank Sylvester Manor for our ongoing relationship in sharing research, images, garments, and objects for our exhibitions program.
We warmly thank the Shelter Island History Museum for our ongoing relationship in research, images, garments, and objects for our exhibitions program.
We extend our sincere thanks to The Church at Sag Harbor for hosting and co-sponsoring, along with Preservation Long Island and the Museum, “Preservation as a Creative Art”, the first in the 2025 Architectural Series.
We warmly thank The Church for sponsoring Mary Jane Marcasiano’s 2025 fashion workshop at Pierson High School, along with the Reutershan Educational Trust.

The Sag Harbor Historical Museum and the Sag Harbor Schools work together in a variety of ways throughout the year. Trustees lead history walking tours through the village acquainting elementary students with the Village’s history. Docents, who lead tours of the Museum throughout the summer, are recruited from Pierson High School. A number of Pierson students participated in the first archaeological dig on the property of 174 Main Street. In February 2025, Mary Jane Marcasiano, SHHM Trustee and Curator, led a fashion workshop with Pierson High School students, sponsored by the Reutershan Educational Trust and The Church. The students’ assignment was to visit SHHM’s exhibit “Sag Harbor Summers 1882-1907” and design a contemporary collection based on and inspired by Annie Cooper Boyd’s wardrobe. The students will present their designs this summer at a fashion show at The Church and model them during the Museum’s summer Gala.
